Course Description
This course equips you with the skills and confidence to provide lifesaving care in remote or isolated settings where medical assistance may be delayed. Training is practical, hands-on, and aligned with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, workplace requirements, and national clinical standards.

How to assess a casualty and ensure scene safety
How to contact and relay accurate information to emergency services
How to triage and manage multiple casualties
How to provide CPR and basic first aid
How to manage remote-specific conditions, including hypothermia, hyperthermia, and shock
How to treat head, neck, and spinal injuries
How to use tourniquets and haemostatic dressings for life-threatening bleeding
How to complete incident documentation and debrief
How to recognise psychological impacts and seek support if needed
